Steve built the original infrastructure himself with the help of his 20+ years of software engineering and leadership experience, alongside his AI copilots, and continues to craft the technical architecture, ensuring every integration feels like a natural extension of the people who rely on it.

Our story
Since 2023The first proof-of-concept was born as a side project in 2023 when Steve noticed GPT-3.5 hit a wall with wider scopes but shined when its focus stayed narrow. He assembled a lightweight chat interface, assigned roles to multiple AIs, and watched them collaborate in one room, suggesting ideas, interrogating answers, and keeping one another honest. What started as a curiosity became the backbone of a system that could orchestrate AI workstreams while keeping humans in command, and that evolution is what we now call Mettara.
That early prototype proved we could orchestrate specialized skills inside a single interface, even with the simplest of AI models. From there we chiselled the product and team that now supports ambitious SaaS operators across industries, using a wide range of far more powerful models than the prototype could have hoped for.
